1. “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”
This quote is a line which was delivered by Gandalf in “The Fellowship of the Ring”, part of the “Lord of the Rings” Trilogy. The quote is an appeal to us to keep things in perspective, remembering that carving out a meaningful path for our lives is what matters most.
2. “Kid, there are heroes and there are legends. Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.”
These lines were quoted in the coming of age movie “The Sandlot”, in which a group of young baseball players have a summer full of misadventures – and also learn the difference between a hero and a legend.
3. “Calling someone fat doesn’t make you any skinnier. Calling someone stupid doesn’t make you any smarter. All you can do in life is try and solve the problem in front of you.”
Taken from the movie “Mean Girls” – a film which addresses the reality and consequences of bullying – this quote implores us to see that degrading another person not only makes them feel terrible, it makes you feel worse about yourself.
