A competitor in the Strawweight division of the UFC, Letourneau is ranked 9th overall. Her career in the Mixed Martial Arts begin with a fight against Tannaya Hantelman in 2007, which she won handily. Subsequently, she has won eight bouts, four of these by knockout, three by decision, and another by submission. However, her most recent bout in Australia on November 14, 2015, was won decisively by her opponent Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

A force to be reckoned with, Esparza is a Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) who is ranked 9th overall worldwide, and second in the Women’s Unified MMA ratings. Her foray into professional fighting began with wrestling – a sport in which she competed in throughout high school. She went on to learn both Jui-jitsu and Muay Thai, and had the privilege of training under two time Olympian, Lee Allen. Nicknamed “Cookie Monster”, Esparza was the first Invicta Strawweight champion.

6. Brazil – Livia Renata Souza

Holding steady at number six according to Fight Matrix, Souza is currently the Invicta Strawweight champion. In her professional career, she has a near undefeated record. She began fighting in Brazil where she won all seven of her bouts, and this coupled with her Invicta record leaves the young fighter hopeful that she’ll get her dream of receiving a call from the UFC will soon be realized.
