Not only is Australia crawling with the most deadly spiders and snakes, it is also surrounded by a sea full of very capable killers.
That explains why Australians are in really good shape—they are constantly running away from things.
It is pretty obvious that there are wonderful things about Australia (such as being able to study overseas in Sydney and the most beautiful Australian ladies), however, we find it much more enjoyable to focus on the things that can be fatal to us—as long as we remain a safe distance away.
These are the top 10 most dangerous and scariest creatures found in Australia and a couple of honorable mentions as well.
1) Cone Snail
Scientific name: Conus geographus
In the country of Australia, there are actually snails that can be fatal to you. The shell is not the issue; it’s a poisonous dart the snail is able to shoot out. This is a good reason to avoid picking up strange things at the beach. It is believed that the cone snail has caused 15 human deaths.
2) Great White Shark
Scientific name: Carcharodon carcharias
Theoretically, the Great White Shark is not the most deadly in Australia, but only because consciously decides not to eat you every time it spots a human. It could certainly kill you if it wanted to. Thankfully, there are only about 5-10 great white shark attacks per year.
