1. Geena Davis
With a media degree from Boston University and the ability to speak four languages, Geena Davis had no trouble reinventing herself when she walked away from her acting career. Today she is CEO of a non-profit organization which focuses on creating valuable opportunities for young women pursuing an acting career in Hollywood.
2. Amanda Bynes
Amanda Bynes was a promising teenage actress who had several hit movies before her life took a turn for the worse. Too much money and not enough adult guidance let to her demise and landed her in drug rehab. Once recovered, she began a lucrative career in fashion design and today she likes to fly under the radar.
3. Brittany Ashton Holmes
In 1990 Brittany Holmes starred as one of the Rascals in the movie of the same name. Her acting career ended there, and today she lives works at a Starbucks in New York where she is studying to get her media degree.
4. Danica McKeller
Known to most of us as the sweet girl next door in the hit TV show “The Wonder Years”, McKeller chose to forego an acting career in favor of becoming a mathematician. While studying for a BSc in Mathematics a UCLA she developed a brief heroin addiction from which she made a complete recovery. Today she is grooming herself to become a politician, and has written several books on her struggle with drugs.
5. Jack Gleeson
Although he had several movies and a TV series under his belt as a child star, Jack Gleeson is most famous for his role as Joffrey Baratheon on the popular TV series “Game of Thrones”. When his character on the show was unceremoniously killed off, Gleeson headed back to school, and is currently living in his home town of Dublin, Ireland where he is studying Political Science at Trinity College.
