21. Gene Hackman
Iconic Hollywood actor Gene Hackman has received every award possible: 2 Oscars, 3 Golden Globes, and a Bafta among others. Despite his success, 86 year-old Hackman retired from acting only to take on a new careers. The well-known actor now amuses himself writing fictional novels!
22. Kevin Jonas
Jonas Brother Kevin went through a bit of a rough patch after the famous band split up. His tech start-up didn’t take off, and the reality TV show which he starred in with wife Danielle Deleasa was a flop. Worried about his depleting fortune, and acting upon he advice of his wife, he has become a contractor. Danielle has a degree in interior design and the two are working as a successful duo.
23. Vanilla Ice
Rob Van Winkle, better know as rapper Vanilla Ice re-invented himself as a successful Real Estate Investor when his career in music dried up. Unlike many of his fellow rappers, he escaped a life of bankruptcy and drug addiction, selling his $5 million Florida mansion and investing the proceeds in his new enterprise. He also took up the challenge of home renovation and has his own show which is featured on the DIY network.
24. Charlie Korsmo
After his role in the movie “Hook”, then skinny kid Charlie Korsmo went on the become a corporate lawyer, studying at both Yale and MIT. He now also teaches business and financial law at Case Western University.
25. Mercedes Lander
After her brief success as drummer in the 90’s Goth rock band Kittie, Landers retired from music making. She did a brief stint in drug rehab, and then became a Real Estate agent – living and practicing in Florida.
