This Utah mine has been in operation for over 100 years and, as you’d expect, that means that it has created a huge hole. Because the mine continues to produce a slew of precious metals, it has been in operation since 1906 and doesn’t show signs of slowing. It produces almost $2 billion in precious metals every year and is the deepest open pit mine anywhere in the world!
