Pac-Man throughout the years

Pac-Man is a classic game that is still loved by many gamers all over the world. It all started in 1979, when a Namco employee was staring at a pizza when he formed a great idea for a video game focused on eating. Obviously, the pizza has two missing slices, thus it resembled a mouth. This is where the ‘Pakkuman’ was taken. It is a slang used to describe the sound that the mouth produces when it is widely opened and closed again in sequence. When Pac-Man was released in the US, there were certain aspects that changed. Initially, the difficulty of the game was increased to appeal to the Western players. The difference that was noted was the reaction to the game. In Japan, the game received an indifferent response but it was entirely different in the United States. Pac-Man was an overnight hit and amassed substantial revenue on the first year it was released. Until today, Pac-Man is the top grossing video game of all time.
