3. Ice Man
Able to endure freezing temperatures for periods of time which would seriously injure most people, the 57-year-old Dutchman Wim Hof deserves to be called the “Ice Man”.
Hof began to cultivate his talent in his late 20’s, inspired by an incident when he was walking through a park one day in the heart of winter and began to wonder what it would feel like to jump through the ice into freezing water. No one was more surprised than he to discover that it actually felt great – and since then he’s been exposing his body to the freezing cold every day!
How does he do it, you may ask? Doctors believe that his body has simply acclimated to freezing conditions, although no one has been able to truly explain his amazing ability.
