1. Mexico – Alexa Grasso

Hailing from Mexico, Twenty-two-year old Alexa Grasso is a mixed martial artist who stands up to her powerful reputation. This young woman remained undefeated in her first five bouts, prompting Invicta Fighting Championship to sign her on to their roster. In 2014 she went on to defeat Ashley Cummins in her first Invicta bout.

2. Scotland – Joanne Calderwood

This young woman lacked direction in her life until a chance experience with Muay Thai which ignited a dedication to becoming an ultimate fighter. She began her professional career in 2000, and within nine years had earned the Scottish Thai Boxing Association title of Fighter of the year. Currently, she competes and holds a 7th place ranking in the Women’s Strawweight Division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

3. United States – Rose Namajunas

Ranked number four in the UFC Strawweight Division, Rose Namajunas has paid her dues. This mixed martial artist began learning Taekwondo at the age of 5, and by 16 years of age had added Jiu-Jitsu and Karate to her list of practices, and learned Kick-boxing while she studied at the Milwaukee High School of Performing Arts. Currently competing in the UFC’s Strawweight division, Namajunas is well-known for her aggressive style, driving her opponents back with her quick kicks and jabs. She also made a mark for herself as runner up in The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion will be Crowned.
