Goteik Viaduct is an architectural and engineering masterpiece by the British Colonial in early 10th century. This can be found in Nawnghkio, Burma and is considered as Myanmar’s highest bridge. Aside from that, this is also the largest railway in the world. Located about 100 km from Mandalay city, it was initially built for the British’s use.

The railway is 689 meters long being held up by 15 towers and its height is argued to be 250 meters high. It takes roughly 25 minutes to go from end to end. The railroad might seem unsafe due to its structure design, location and height, the Pennsylvania Steel Company who designed it made assures that the supports provide a stable foundation for the railroad.

Passengers could enjoy the luscious greenery view while travelling along this awesome structure. It’s a feast for the eyes and for the thrill of it all. Those who are afraid of height would certainly be amazed with how high this structure is.
